Pandava
Caves ( Panch Pandava Gufa ) : |
| |
|
| |
The
name of Pachmarhi is said to have its genesis to 'Panchmathi ' (five
huts) and is derived from ancient-caves which have been hewn in
a small hill known as Pandava Gufa. From Jaistambha it is hardly
1km. away. Archaeologically these Caves are said to be carved by
Buddhists in the 9th or 10th Century A.D. but the popular myth and
belief associate them with Agyatavasa of Pandavas. Scenic beauty
of Pachmarhi town from the top and it's beautiful garden and ornamental
nursery increase the charm. |

Bees
Fall (Jamuna Prapat) : |
| |
|
Bees
Fall is hardly 2 km. from Jaistambha. Take the road, shown
in the map towards Rajbhavan and after crossing the Governor
house turn towards right. Keep your vehicle as suggested by
the forest authorities at checkpost. After short walk a beautiful
water-stream appears usually used as a bathing pool. This
water-stream flows and jumps into the valley to make one of
the most beautiful waterfalls of Pachmarhi.
Fall makes a sound like thousands of Bees are singing and accordingly
called Bees Fall. This spectacular fall leaves long-lasting memory
when one stays under its cold, fresh and pure water coming directly
from the height of 100 ft. and feel it stroking soothingly on his
head. |
